2012

Ok. Maybe this time, you have already heard the 2012 prediction. I'm not talking about the movie. In case , you have no idea what I'm talking about, I'll try to give you a summary of the story. The date or should I say the title, 2012, was made famous by Nostradamus, a French apothecary, whose most predictions came true. According to the interpretations of his prediction on 2012, it will be the end of days. How true is this? Nostradamus just predicts without any sources or materials that can support his predictions. But still, most of them came true. The scary part is, there is one strong information that it could come true. And that's the Mayan calendar. The Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012. Why? On the winter solstice in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way for the first time in about 26,000 years. This means that "whatever energy typically streams to Earth from the center of the Milky Way will indeed be disrupted on 12/21/12 at 11:11 p.m. Universal Time. But astronomers agreed that Maya themselves would have known that. I doubt that the ancient Maya have knowledge about events like these. So whether this prediction of 2012 is true or not, I suggest that we should just go on with our lives not rely on what will happen on this date.
